Cardiff is a great city with so much to do, and despite being the Capital city of Wales, it has a smaller city vibe, that makes it feel more homely. The students Union is great, the best I've ever been to, and the support is also fantastic.

The content is delivered in a well structured way, building knowledge as we go on. Lab sessions after Lectures allow me to apply the knowledge learnt in lectures to an exercise, which has helped me learn. The worst part is that I have yet to have any contact with my personal tutor.

Very secure, with constantly patrolling security and access gates. I did a gap year, and the halls are allocated so that all gap year students are in the same house which is nice. The bad things are that there tends to be issues with silverfish and mould, however the mould is cleaned by staff routinely, and ensuites are regularly checked for H&S.

The Unversity campus is well situated in Cardiff, with many things well placed and most of the accommodation a short walk from campus. The students union is excellent in all aspects, there are plenty of extra curricular activities and events. Cleanliness and maintenance of some of the older parts of campus could be improved and a more initial information on how things work (ie entrance to the taf requires a student id) would be appreciated.

As a student representative for my year I get a very good idea for how students feel about the course and to summarise the majority of feedback both personal and from other students is poor, but improving in the second semester. Content and information is poorly organised and decent co-ordination between modules is non existent, I cannot comment on placement opportunities as that is not relevant to me yet. Tutor contact time which I took to mean general contact time with lecturers is only 6 hours compared to the 15-20 hours promised. Facilities are good but their is overcrowding which is unacceptable for a 2 year old building (Abacws).

The halls are only a 17-minute walk from my building which is good, they are reasonably well-priced especially given the cost of living crisis. Property management is usually good, cleaners sometimes don't come when they say they will and there was a data breach with a spreadsheet with contact information being sent to many students. Safety is generally good but the fire-alarm is often set of accidentally and a few weeks ago there was a fire in the stairway, and we had to wait outside for 2 hours at 3am in January. Never had any problems with the wifi except for a few initial configuring issues and certain devices such as my switch not being able to connect.
