The support for student mental health on campus is amazing, and the lecturers are extremely helpful and friendly. Sometimes there's some issues with the facilities - mostly to do with the program Unity, really, which hasn't been fixed for about 5-6 weeks now, but everything else is pretty good. Honestly I can't say much about student life because I'm not very social, but there are plenty of events and days where the Student's Union has various stalls, including eco-friendly vendors and mental health support. The campus is pretty well connected with it's bus routes, with one of those buses going directly into town. The campus itself is interesting, really. There's a lot of different styles of buildings, though I can't say much for the inside of most of them because I've only been between 2-3.

Like I mentioned before, the facilities are great, with only an ongoing issue with Unity. The lecturers are very friendly and helpful, and they have office hours that you can talk to them in even outside of lectures, though they also answer every email you send. The course is taught in-person, and it really benefits from that because it makes it easier for the lecturers to show you what you've done wrong in Labs and help you to correct it. I haven't seen a lot about work placements and internships yet - I only just started my second semester, but they have given us career workshops throughout the year, and there's always the option to go to the careers officers. The course itself is engaging, though I would say it can get a little hard, there's always a lot of support and it's unlikely you'll fail.

I've thoroughly enjoyed studying BSc (Hons) Computing at Bournemouth University. The lecturers are great; producing interesting lectures and generally being willing to help with any issues students may be having. The course covers a wide range of topics, some of which not covered at over universities, which makes graduates more appealing to companies post-graduation. The university and course has excellent links with industry, with a placements advisors who can help students achieve placements at some of the biggest companies in the world. Thanks to the skills I've gained from the course and the experiences I gained on placement, I've secured a post-grad role at one of the world's largest banks. I would recommend the university to anyone; the lectures and facilities are great, the university is vibrant, and Bournemouth is a great place to be a student.
