Overall, my experience with UOS and the people who make up my course on Games Programming has been very positive. The lecture's have always been engaging and very informative as well as purposefully staying relevant to our future careers as programmers. The lecturer's themselves have always been very quick and effective at providing any support or questions I may have within or outside a lesson/lecture. The UOS in general have also been a great help at solving any difficulties I have had although, thankfully I have had very little issues.

With restrictions in place it has been more difficult to use the facilities available but when we have been able to gain access to places such as the library, "computer lab's" and ect... I was presently surprised by the modern and capable equipment readily available as well as the cleanliness and welcoming environment UOS offers.

UOS in general is very quick to encourage students to join and interact with groups within the student union which can present students with like minded-people. In my experience, the social media UOS run's is usually full of tips and links to areas which can help provide support to all students for all ranges of financial, medical or wellbeing support.

Due to the impacts and associated restrictions from the spread of "Covid-19", our course timetable has been formatted using a form of blended learning structure where most of our weekly lectures have taken place online; with our longer more interactive "tutorials" taking place in person if restrictions allow of it.

The best aspect is the staff members are caring, professional, and dedicated to the student's education. I would consider the University to further invest in its eating facilities as there seems to be a lack of places to buy food and/or is expensive to get a snack or coffee between classes.

The learning hours in class are the right length and full of educational value, I can go in and learn what I need to and have enough time to head home or continue to work in class until late if need be. The worst aspect is possibly some software I use is not always up to date on every computer in the tech labs. (Little inconvenience)

Student halls are fine, very expensive for all types of rooms, and lack space and varying quality. The previous room was dirty and not cleaned by cleaners when I moved in a month later than intended. The halls are right next to the university buildings and are about a 3-minute walk to the furthest building on the lot and a 5 - 10 minute walk to the middle of the town itself which is fantastic, with plenty of restaurants, pubs, and shops along the way. The Studio rooms are better than shared dorms, however, both share issues in winter where the windows don't keep in the warmth and I have to use multiple radiators to keep my room warm.
