The best bits are that there are so many random events around the universe if you just explore. From thrift shops to people busking, it’s so fun. My lectures have great support and the timetable is good for me as they are all bunched together. for me the worst bit is the walk and it’s not too bad now that i’m used to it but i don’t imagine newcomers will be too keen at first for a 30 minute walk. i’m glad that my lectures don’t have a gap between them for this reason but the walk itself is a nice way to wake up and it’s nice to pop in one of the many Gregg's on the way for a quick breakfast :)

My course wasn’t what I was expecting at first. I haven’t had any seminars as I don’t think they’re that necessary, but the lectures and tutorials are great as they make me focused since we are told what our sessions include and the requirements for upcoming assignments. altogether for me the time in my classes acts as a stronger form of motivation to work on my projects as i do find it quite distracting working at my accommodation. in uni it feels like i am supposed to be a student whereas at my accommodation i like to just sit and relax. because of this i do tend to visit the uni to get work done during my time off as it just compels me more.

The best bit is the hot chocolate machine. The place isn’t as new as other accommodations, probably why it is cheaper, but the best way I can describe this place is that it is nice with the odd repair being needed. Most of those are from people messing around or the building just needing bits replaced. I did have a minor silverfish issue but it was quickly resolved by the maintenance crew who I am very thankful for. Also the radiators are top tier since they aren’t as restricted as the new ones commonly found in other accommodations. Get that bad boy on in winter and your fears of the cold are gone.
