Best aspects: My overall experience has been very positive. The lecturers are approachable and genuinely supportive, and the modules are designed in a way that pushes you to think creatively while also giving you practical, real-world skills. The campus has a welcoming atmosphere and it’s easy to meet people from different backgrounds, which makes it feel like a strong community. The support services for international students are also a huge plus – from visa guidance to helping with part-time work rules, it has made the transition smoother. Worst aspects / Improvements: Accommodation can sometimes feel a little basic compared to the price, and there could be more frequent cleaning/maintenance checks. Wi-Fi stability on campus and in some halls could be improved, especially for students who rely heavily on online resources. I also think more industry-linked workshops, guest lectures, and networking events would add great value for students preparing for future careers. Overall: It’s a great place to study if you’re looking for a supportive environment, diverse community, and opportunities to grow academically and personally. With a few improvements in facilities and more career-oriented events, the experience would be even better.

More guest lectures or networking events with industry professionals would also make the course even stronger, as it would help us connect our academic learning with the realities of the gaming industry. Course hours can occasionally feel packed into certain days, so a more balanced weekly distribution might also help. Overall: It’s a fantastic course that helps you build both creative confidence and practical game design skills. With a bit more industry exposure and technical training, it would be nearly perfect.

Its amazing

I absolutely love all the lecturers at this university. Each of them want the best for you in your studies and will help you with almost anything. They do all this with such comfortable personalities, that it makes you feel like you don't have to worry about coming in. The range of activities you can do while on sight is also a plus. Basketball, library, gym, it's all there and makes every day feel different whilst I work on a game.

Coming into game design, I really thought it was gonna tale a few months to get even the basics of coding but are lecturer (Will Henniker) is making it easy to understand with some homework thats made to easy you into the whole thing and I'm enjoying every second of it.
