I am currently enrolled in the Cyber Security program at Kingston University, and in general, I hold the institution in high regard for its high-quality education, strong faculty, and welcoming community. However, there are certain areas, particularly facilities and equipment, where I believe improvements can be made. A considerable area for potential enhancement lies in the state of our Cyber Lab. As a cybersecurity student, the Cyber Lab is one of our primary learning environments. It is, unfortunately, plagued by regular computer crashes. This not only hampers our learning experience but can also contribute to delays in project completion and other academic tasks. It is essential to have dependable and high-performing computing resources, particularly in a field as technically demanding and dynamic as cybersecurity. To ensure a better learning experience, the university could consider updating the systems or performing routine maintenance checks to avoid these technical glitches. As we delve deeper into more complex areas of study, having reliable computer systems will become even more critical. Additionally, it would be beneficial to have some backup systems in place for such unforeseen circumstances. Post the COVID-19 lockdown, I've noticed a distinct shift in the overall ambiance of the university. There seems to be a newfound appreciation for interpersonal interactions and a certain camaraderie that wasn't as noticeable before. This has positively impacted the learning environment, creating a more empathetic, cooperative, and resilient student body. The university has always boasted a friendly and supportive staff, which continues to be one of its major strengths. Moreover, despite some of the aforementioned technical issues, Kingston University offers an expansive curriculum that is both engaging and challenging. In conclusion, while there are certain logistical improvements needed, specifically with regard to the Cyber Lab, Kingston University continues to offer a strong educational foundation.
