I love how the university gives us lots of opportunities to give out to use while we are studying. To gain confidence and skills before heading out of the world of full time work. The facilities at Bournemouth University are very good. And easy access. For those who struggle with work, for example myself, the DSA team are a great team of people to help students with their work and to lead them in the right direction. I also love the student life and getting involved as much as I can before graduation next year. I want a purpose when I come to uni. Not just go studying but I want to gain more friends/ experience/ as well as finding the opportunities to find myself as an individual

Studying photography at Bournemouth University has shown me that photography isn’t about just taking an image it’s about learning the depth meaning of photography, leaning about the different photography fundamentals as a whole subject, being able to find out what’s best for us in photography, what is our style of photography. So for me I’ve gone from loving nature photography to commercial and product advertising in photography. The classes a the workshops help a lot as it encourages me to book out different equipment on campus and to be able to learn and write down new things. 1-1 are a massive help for me as it gives me the opportunity to understand and chat openly to my lectures about my submissions my friends, my progress, how well I’m doing. To also have the feedback is also important too

Best aspects - scenic location, library, Café aroma, curricular projects, opportunity to opt for placement year. Worst aspects - many accessible restrooms have room for improvement, the back to back timetabling of classes, the expensive prices of food.

Best aspects - most tutors are welcoming, independent learning & proofreading, group assignments, writing competitions & field trips, opportunity to interact using the discussion board on Brightspace. Worst aspects - I wish lectures/seminars were accompanied with more interactive quizzes to make it fun or exciting, there should be use of more people of colour examples, quotes and texts while delivering the class and in the reading list.

It would be better if this city had - more communities, more vegan cafes near student accommodations, a better bus network system, reasonably priced commodities, more spaces for art and craft.

What I like most - helpful staff, feel safe, have my privacy, the events organized for fellow students by ResLife BU What I like least - the random fire alarms, the hoover being all the way in the reception wing instead of one each being in everyone's flat.
