The campus is lovely, the facilities for engineering are very modern. The accommodation can be questionable sometimes, people have silverfish infestations and the water is a bit gross but other than this uni is great.

i like the teaching however i feel like some of the modules could definitely be condensed, a lot of it is drawn out and over egged which wastes a lot of time.

Water is dodge, if you don’t let the tap run it’s a white cloudy colour. The windows get condensed and mouldy very quickly which means you need a dehumidifier. Other than that it’s great.

Starting university was really overwhelming for me but the support from teaching staff as well as the Wellbeing team has been a great bonus. At the University of Southampton you're definitely well supported and there are several options depending on what you need.

The approach for the majority of the modules is blended - you will have a pre-recorded lecture to watch alongside a tutorial session where you get contact with a tutorial lead helping you understand the content and go over worked examples. It's quite a full on course with a lot of different subjects touched upon, but there is definitely good support and resources available to help.
