It offers a vibrant student life with a diverse range of clubs and societies and is renowned for its excellent teaching and research. The city of Aberdeen itself provides a beautiful historic landscape, a lively nightlife, and a wide range of sports and outdoor activities, making it an ideal location for students. One area of concern I'd like the University of Aberdeen to address is the simplification and streamlining of the student appeals and complaints process, making it more user-friendly and less daunting for students who may already be dealing with stressful situations.

On the positive side, the course is well-structured and the content is engaging, providing a solid foundation for my future career. The blend of online and in-person learning allows for flexibility, which is particularly beneficial for me as I also work part-time as a bartender. The course materials are always accessible, enabling me to study at my own pace and review complex topics as needed. However, one downside is that the course can sometimes feel impersonal due to the large class sizes. This can make it challenging to get immediate feedback or clarification on complex topics, which is particularly important in a technical field like civil engineering. Additionally, while the blended learning approach is generally beneficial, it requires a high level of self-discipline and can be challenging to manage alongside work commitments
