the campus is a safe enviroment

I was unsure on ever coming to university but I’m so glad I made the decision to come. All of the lecturers and staff give so much support and help you when struggling. I am on Clifton campus which is very nice and has plenty of study spaces as well as food and drink places. Students union is amazing and there are so many options for which society to join, I’m currently part of hula society and it’s definitely a great way to keep social and meet new people for only 5 pounds a year!!! Student union offer so many social events such as craft events, well-being days, bar nights and club nights.

The best aspect of my course is the placement aspect as it is a very practical based course which is how I learn best. The worst aspect has been the communication from lecturers and tutors as we’ve had a lot of key lecturers leave the uni due to personal reasons which has resulted in us being given new lecturers again and again who also end up leaving which has caused confusion when we have questions on a module but no longer know which lecturer is taking that module. We also started uni during covid which had a huge impact because for the first year we had no face to face lecturers and the content given in the first year was very minimal which resulted in year 2 and year 3 feeling a lot harder as I didn’t have the basic understanding on certain topics which I would have had my first year been different.

I loved my time at Clifton new hall the only negative is that it’s a bit further from the city but every 10 minutes there’s a bus that pulls into the campus and goes straight to city which takes about 15 minutes so it’s not too bad. I made friends for life in my flat and I’m so grateful to have met them all! The staff and security on campus are all friendly and nice and I never felt unsafe during my stay. When you order online and have packages arrive at reception you receive an email straight away saying it’s ready to collect from reception which is very helpful. I was on 3rd floor and never had any issues with the wifi it always worked for me throughout the whole year I was there. The grounds are lovely and if you do sports I would definitely recommend staying at new hall or if your course is based on Clifton campus then you are in perfect location as you can roll out of your bed and head straight to your lecture.
