department of chem is really good, reflective on students experience. rent is very expensive in york, uni needs to do more much more with the council to sort it out, currently all my maintenance covers just rent, and have a job to make sure i can eat.

chemistry course v good, workload can be too much at times, assessed workshops as coursework isn't really coureswork as still exam, office hours should be included

N block needs updating, silverfish everywhere , 17 ppl in flat was too many, rooms v small, kitchen cabinets too small,

In short: Campus and course good, student union and accommodation lacking.

Plenty of contact hours, at least one lab day a week years one and two.

Expensive city and public transport is unreliable. Never once felt unsafe in York, even out by myself as a woman at 2am.

Did have the odd flood and some items reported didn't get fixed. I really loved my room and would have spent all 4 years there if I could have.
