Teaching and sports facilities are good but independent study and dining spaces do not have the capacity

Most lecturers are very good at teaching and online additional resources (including recorded lectures) are helpful.

Maintenance team very helpful and quick to respond to a problem. Cleaners come every other week to clean the kitchen. Only negative was being on the ground floor with covered walkway immediately outside my window- no privacy and light shining directly into my room all night.

The academic staff in chemical engineering and mostly great teachers and very knowledgeable in their fields. At Bath there are also many opportunities to be creative (I do this through music) and active. We also have a chemical engineering football team which may be nice for any football fans. Throughout the year we typically have a few socials within the department and there are many opportunities to get to know those inside and outside your yeargroup. Needless to say I've had a great time at Bath and would recommend it to just about anyone. Inclusivity is also very important at Bath and much effort is made to ensure everybody feels safe and welcome, including the presence of a 24/7 security team who you are always welcome to contact.

Most courses are taught in person which I think is a big positive. Students are also given a personal tutor to guide them through university who you will meet with 3-4 times per year. It is also probably possible to meet them outside of these hours but I have not done so. Despite this almost all lecturers would be happy to meet with you if you needed any extra help in your course.

The only downside was being so far from campus - it makes it difficult to socialise with a lot of your friends who will mostly have campus accomodation. Otherwise its in a great location and gets you warmed up to the city before you live there in second year!
