Brilliant time here in loughborough, theres so much to do at the uni, so much to get involved with, just juggling time for all of it is a big issue. I am really enjoying myslef and it has exceeded my expectations.

My university experience so far has been great. I felt a bit lonely for a few days because my flat mates were all from 2nd year and were already friends but I managed to make friends with those in the rest of my block so it worked out well and i feel better for it. I love the challenge of my course and i look forward to learing new things each day.

The library is really good and they have an it service which is amazing as you just hand them your device and they fix it for free. Theres loads of computers on campus and the uni app helps you locate the ones that are free to use.

There is loads of support if you need it from peer support to the couselling service on offer. Theres also an on site mental health nurse should you really be struggling. You're always encouraged to give your lecturers feedback and to ask questions during lectures if you need to.

I've not used the union much but they've constantly got things on and sending out emails or facebook posts about how you can get involved.

Its in a great location. My accommodation is on campus so its only 10 minutes to my lectures or 5 minutes to the library. There are some shops and cafes in the university campus so thats good for buying a few bits. Its about a 30 minute walk into town which has lots of different shops or 5/10 minutes on the bus which is only £2.10.

I dont think there could be any more sports on offer at loughborough theres literally something for anyone. Even if you're like me who's not really into team sports there's free classes for students on each week such as yoga or free courses like boxing or couch to 5k. Its not just available for the athletes which i think is great. Theres also loads of societies and opportunities to join them and you're really encouraged to try them out.

I like how the course has labs throughout the year that help you understand more about the aplications of the things you're learning in lectures. I also like how theres a lot of group work which is helping everyones team skills which is great for jobs.

Most of the courses that I know of put a heavy emphasis on industrial placements or internships and the careers service really help you to acheive this. Theres also companies constantly coming in to give talks and to recruit students for their placement. Theres emphasis on volunteering and becoming student ambassadors which both can improve your skills.

Really safe accommodation, nice and clean its on campus so its within 10mins walk to all my lectures. Cost is reasonable if not slightly too expensive but i think it os worth it.
