Amazing can’t wait for 2 more years here in Chester, best university out there in my opinion. So much support offered and the Health and Social Care course is amazing with a possibility to leave with not just a degree but also extra qualifications

Student support

How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).

Amazing! I have personally had quite a few PAT meetings this year and my PAT has been so helpful. With the course and personal issues. One of the best university’s for all issues, the counselling they offer is great and the feedback and tutors are all great too.

What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?

The union is amazing, they are always available to help!

Local life

Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?

For my Health and Social Care course is perfect in terms of campus location, it only takes 10 mins to walk there and is right in the centre of town so very close to a variety and shops right on the door step

Societies and Sports

How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?

Society’s and sports are amazing here. Lots to choose from so there is something for anyone!

Lecturers and teaching quality

What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?

What I like the most is we work in small groups to enhance our learning so that it is more one to one and there are more opportunities to learn What I like the least is that we are very independent and sometimes require more one to ones tutorials as things can be skimmed through and misunderstood

How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?

This is one of the best things about the uni/ course. In this year alone (my first year) I have a certificate in Mental Health First Aid & in March I will gain qualifications to work with people living with dementia (dementia friends). Also the university work with you 3 years after you leave to find you the perfect career!
