Aspects I love about UOB: It's friendly, vibrant and such a fun city to live in. The campus has a great feel to it and there's always lots going on. There are loads of opportunities available, in such a broad array of things: from societies, sports, leadership, careers and so much more. Aspects to improve upon: Commu nication - they haven't alwyas been good at being clear with students, especially in subject-specific things Mandatory basics classes - first year was tough learning to write an academic essay by yourself, I think lecturers need to be more aware that first years probably don't know how to write quality academic work yet and help us to learn how!

I loved my course much more when I could choose what units I could take. It made such a difference when I started units I loved! I understand that some units are necessary to give a good grounding in certain areas of knowledge, but in a humanities degree, I think you can afford to be more leniant with what you do and don't make a requirement.

When I was there, there were lots of issues with not having water, hot or cold, showers not working, fire alarms not working etc etc, which was not good at all. However, it was still a very nice place to live and I did enjoy my time there, despite having covid lockdowns etc.
