I think that Cardiff University has one of the best facilities in the country. The SU both for sports night Wednesday and working is amazing. Containing so many areas to work in the day if you don’t enjoy working in the libraries- which there are plenty of as well. Every student still lives around the same area which creates a lovely sort of environment to live around.

I find it really enjoyable because the facilities are relatively new so it’s nice to be in. Also, there are areas to sit and wait/eat around the buildings meaning you don’t have to go back and forth but can actually stay on campus. By far the coolest thing however is the trading room- using that in one of my modules was so useful for real work experience.

Talybont is amazing in the way that there are 4 separate accommodations all connected together. However it is 40/50 mins away from the city centre which is quite inconvenient, you can catch a bus but they are a little unreliable. My building is about 15 mins away which is very good but most others including the SU are further away. It is really good for 1st year in getting to meet people and it’s useful with plenty of shops nearby. However the maintenance/value for money is quite bad.
