One of the best things about the University of Birmingham is how open and diverse the community is. Both students and lecturers are genuinely welcoming, and they engage with international students in a respectful and inclusive way. So far, everyone I’ve met has been friendly and helpful, and I really appreciate the quality of the university’s facilities as well. On the downside, I feel the university could invite more influential speakers. Having more people in positions of power come in to talk would give students valuable exposure and insight. Another issue is that some of the toilets in certain buildings could use more frequent cleaning, as they don’t always seem to be maintained as well as they should be.

The best part about studying Business Management is how incredibly versatile the degree is.I feel like i’m not boxed into one direction instead, I get the chance to explore different areas of business and figure out what genuinely interests me. What makes it even better is that in second year, I can actually tailor my degree to match the career path I want to pursue. Whether leaning towards marketing, finance, HR, entrepreneurship, or something completely different, I can choose modules that reflect my future goal. It gives me a real sense of control over my studies, passion and a kind of impact i want to share to the environment. It certainly helps me build a degree that feels personal and purposeful.

I absolutely LOVE the campus! It's beautiful in the summer and so magical in the winter. I feel so supported at University and have made some incredible friends!

Due to the large number of people studying my course, it doesn't feel as personal as it could do and I don't know any of my tutors or lecturers personally and don't think they know me personally.

I absolutely loved staying at Chamberlain on the Vale - it was really sociable and a great location. I made loads of friends because of it.
