The best thing are the frequent society and university organised events, there’s something for anyone. The worst thing is the weather.

The lecture environment and the amount of lecture hours are the best things, it leave out a lot of time for independent learning and research. The worst thing is the location of some lectures, they are on opposite sides on the campus and therefore doesn’t allow much time for walking in between them.

The university is located really close to the city centre so it allows you to get anything you need at almost any time during the day, which is amazing. The not so great thing is the amount of stairs and hills everyone - they’re very tiring.

Best thing is the condition of the rooms (furniture, chair, sink etc.) and the regular cleaning. The worst thing is the amount of people in the kitchen at meal times. I’m in a flat of 8 which makes it tough to actually cook a meal.

The best aspect of university is seeing yourself mature and grow due to the wealth of independence you suddenly get when attending university, regardless of whether you move and live in halls or stay home and commute. Being suddenly surrounded by like minded individuals and enthusiastic peers who just wish to thrive and have fun to gain the best university experience possible, is a true blessing and cannot be overlooked.

Law is such an interesting course in which you develop so many transferable skills and gain professional knowledge in a sector that truly does impact every aspect of our lives. The only problem is that law is such a desired course that it becomes rather competitive in terms of gaining work experience but that is why attending the networking events hosted by the University is vital.

I had the most amazing experience in halls as it allowed me to experience adulthood first hand with 5 amazing girls who would quickly become some of my best friends. The cleaning staff in the halls especially were amazing and so friendly, I often found myself conversing with them and getting to know them on a more personal level. However, seeing what I got in terms of value for money when I was in halls compared to living in a house currently in second year, is very different.
