Tell us about your overall university experience so far.

I've had a fantastic experience so far. Some of the modules have really held my attention and made me think in new ways, and the ones I find less interesting are still understandable. Sports and societies have supplemented my academics by giving me exercise and breaks from studying.

Job Prospects

How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?

The law society, for example, provides endless opportunities to secure internships and the like. The careers advice has been very helpful to my friends that have made use of it

Course and Lecturers

What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?

The content is simple enough, however I would prefer the assessments be more spread out than simply a midterm worth 25% and an exam worth (75%), I feel the current system puts a lot of pressure on students. Furthermore, the powerpoints used sometimes have formats that make it difficult to focus on the text

What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?

Facilities are excellent and there is very little sentiment that I can see of the student body not being represented

How good are your university's facilities?

The general facilities are excellent, I have no complaints about them

Local life

Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?

The University is in the best location of any University I've seen. The campus is separate enough from the city to allow students to feel welcome, but the city centre is just a 10 minute walk away allowing access to a variety of shops and services

Societies and Sports

How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?

The sports facilities are excellent, however the distance between campus and most of the playing fields has discouraged me from joining certain clubs. Regarding societies, I feel spoiled for choice, as there are societies for just about every interest you can think of, and some of the societies are filled with the best people

Student Support

How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).

I don't usually avail of these services mysef, however from what my friends have told me, the feedback is good but counselling seems underfunded as few sessions are available
