Great resources in different categories. Academic wise, an accessible and certainly larger library than my old sixthform, lots of computers and other sources of information online for te underprivileged like me. Approachable professors and academic instructors. On a personal level, my university has people and places to go for mental health issues and struggles. Availability of facilities for improving one’s physical health, like the gym. I also like chess, and they have a boards game group week where l can play with others and relax. The students now has also bought a chess board for this effect, so I really feel welcome. All this helps balance me balance doing my course while still finding joy in studying and trying to build a career. My faith is a big part of identity and there is a general acceptance for one’s beliefs which I love.

My course is taught in person with contact to lecturers which for starters assures me that they are real and actually exist. But also, all my lectures are approachable, both in person and online. There is a lot of material and course content to learn with 2 hour lectures. I try to study just before or immediately after my lectures to retain the course information. Despite this, the university has all the resources I need for my course, which make it easier.

Most services are with in walking distance in terms of the geography which makes getting necessities quicker. The town is quit and an enjoyable place for introverts like myself. There are a good number of historic sites to see like the Cathedral, old castles and museums. Additionally, there are many students in similar positions as me from diverse backgrounds, so making friends and connections has been possible.
