I love the flexibility of the program being online. This is extremely important to me because the first year of this program I was working full time shift work hours as a newly wed and while pregnant. I am now in my second year of my program and I am a new mom and on maternity leave. Having a newborn during a pandemic is a lot of work as is, so I need the flexibility of online courses. I also really like the StudentCare response times they are always prompt. I disliked several things about one course I took last year and I was disappointed that when I left a very detailed complaint in the course survey, no one got back to me at all even to ask questions it was just accepted. I remember one of the issues I had was extremely concerning in that the professor in error sent me feedback for another student disclosing their grade and information which I felt was a breach of their privacy. Very unprofessional.

My course is 100% online which gives me the flexibility to complete it on my own time. This is very important to me as in the 1.5 years I’ve been in the course I worked shift work, I got married, AND I had a baby! I don’t like that certain courses the professors get super picky with the participation in forums. Forums, in my opinion, should be something we can add information to and learn from one another’s experiences. Instead, often you find students repeating the same thing as others as they are being forced to participate. Forums should be there for sharing different opinions and answers and learning from one another.

Enjoyable course with helpful lectures. Large variety of people to make friends. Students Union needs to improve and become more active with student requests/problems
