As a current student at Nottingham Trent University (NTU), I can confidently say that my experience here has been very positive overall. From the campus facilities to the academic support and social opportunities, NTU offers a well-rounded environment that caters to a diverse range of students.

Studying Business Management and Marketing at NTU has been a highly rewarding experience, with its focus on real-world application and diverse, industry-relevant modules being key strengths. The course provides excellent opportunities for practical learning through live projects, internships, and access to cutting-edge resources like Google Analytics and Adobe Creative Suite. The supportive faculty, strong industry connections, and collaborative environment foster personal and professional growth, while the employability support ensures you’re well-prepared for future career opportunities. However, there are areas for improvement, such as inconsistent feedback on assignments, occasional timetabling issues, and challenges in group projects when members don’t contribute equally. The workload can also feel overwhelming during peak deadline periods, and the course could benefit from more focus on emerging trends like AI and sustainability. Despite these challenges, the program offers a well-rounded and enriching experience for anyone interested in a career in business or marketing.

Throughout the timer NTU, I have absolutely enjoyed every element of my education! The location of the University, and the business school is within the city centre which is ideal for accommodation, and also for students who are looking for jobs, nightlife and even just accessible buildings. The reason NTU was so amazing to study art is because their facilities are amazing, there are always opportunities to better yourself, to further your education and to do so whilst working around your schedule. boots library is absolutely fantastic and has laptops to borrow, endless computers, and enough space for hundreds of students to study whether that be in silence or in the communal common areas. Other facilities such as the student union, the gym, and the cafés are also amazing-these are great places for students to be able to express themselves and have free time-the NTU cards also make purchasing and access in buildings extremely easy as all you have to do is tap the card and your details are taken.

As I am course representative for my course, I get to see all the great work that goes into managing our course and I get an opportunity to speak to the tutors more in-depth about the courses and what are positive/negative about them and discuss that in detail. But I believe every seminar/lecture I have had has had amazing content in it, which is necessary for future uni life-tutors insist that you contact them if you have any questions or queries which is amazing, and they get back to you promptly. Another reason why the course is so amazing is because there is a mix of blended learning which is online/in class-this allows people to have more free time and manager schedule better as they do not have to be in multiple places often this also helps students with travel costs as well as time management.

I believe the cost of living for every student is quite high, which isn’t the best-and to you does have amazing resources to help with financial issues for students. As I go to the city campus NBS the public transport systems are phenomenal and can take you most places for very cheap I myself know that the part-time work opportunities are also amazing as I have luckily secured a job for myself currently, and have friends looking for placements which have been successful. The diversity and to you is absolutely beautiful, and I feel like every person is included and celebrated.

I believe that being in halls can have its pros and cons, Sometimes maintenance within different buildings takes a lot longer and therefore issues get worse before they get better which is never ideal, and for the amount that most students pay I believe it should be-however the location and decoration of these accommodations are normally lovely
