Tell us about your overall university experience so far.
At the time of writing, I've been at Loughborough Uni for 4 months. So far, the full-time MBA experience has been great. The teaching pedagogy is designed on a practical approach including a ton of coursework and assignments rather than mugging up for exams. This system teaches you a lot more since you have to understand topics and concepts instead of simply reading for an exam only to forget it the next day. So, if you're from a background of purely exam-based education, be prepared to do a lot of reading and research on your own. If you prefer learning-based education, you're going to love it here. Either way, this is the right approach to doing your masters.
The professors are highly qualified and come with decades of experience in teaching and working. Of course, not every teacher has the best method or style of teaching, and that may rub you the wrong way. But as long as you're willing to communicate with them and help them understand your point of view, you can make the most of your time here.
The uni itself is massive, plenty of activities happening all throughout the year, so there's never a dull moment. Whether you're into sports, music, dance, there's always a society for you to plug into. There's even a tea-drinking club!! Plenty of opportunities to network and make friends. The Students Union is there all throughout the year to help you with whatever you need. And of course, Wednesday and Friday nights are for you to party away. The highlight of my year so far - watching the FIFA World Cup games at the uni pub (JC's). The England quarter final was absolutely mental!
I live on campus, and the accommodation is great! Plenty of options are available in the town centre as well, which puts you closer to shops and food joints, but the 1.3 mile walk to the uni on rainy days is a bummer. I'd suggest staying on campus, but hey, everyone has their preferences.
The town centre is a lovely little place to get your weekly shopping done. Plenty of supermarkets spread out across the town, so you have easy access to everything you need. That said, international students, if you're staying here for the holidays, be prepared to watch Loughborough transform from a bustling town into a ghost town, since most students head back home during the vacation period. Located about 3 hours away (by bus/coach) from London, Loughborough gives you easy access to places all around the UK, whenever you feel like taking a weekend exploration trip.
What can be done better:
1) Sometimes the communication on certain activities isn't clear and doesn't have all the details. This makes it difficult and wastes students' time.
2) Certain optional modules need to be absolutely clear in terms of the content so that students can choose the ones that are most beneficial to them.
3) The admission screening can be done better so that a course like MBA has students with the right mix of experience. This will only help to optimise the learning experience.
All said and done, it's been a really good experience for me so far, definitely made the right choice to come do my masters at one of the best business schools in the UK. Hope this helps you make the right decision for your future. Cheers.

1) Classes are taught in-person unless a professor is sick.
2) Daily course hours vary based on the module being taught. Some are for 3 hours a day while others are for 6.
3) Contact with lecturers is constant. They are available over email for every question or issue you need clarified. Some of them are also available on campus for face-to-face meetings.
4) Warning: You will NOT be spoon-fed everything. You are expected to do your own readings and research along with the classes to complete your assignments.
University halls
What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?
The halls are great! Falk Egg is the cheapest hall and great value for money too!! You get your own room, but the bathrooms and toilets are shared. This is not a problem at all. The kitchen, toilets, and common areas are cleaned regularly, and your rooms are cleaned once in 2 weeks. There are plenty of activities including sports events between the halls, dinners, parties, etc. If you prefer an en-suite room, John Philips is a good hall too.
