Have loved University in Swansea, severely let down by the School of Management/Economics department in my final year, but haven't let that deflect my view of the university as a whole, I've had an unbelievable 4 years.

Sports facilities fantastic - As a university footballer we get use of the Swansea City facilities, can't get better. Library is far too small though, no chance of me going there during exam season, far too crowded.

The majority of the times I needed the uni's help they were largely unhelpful (see Courses and Lecturers). Very disorganised year abroad scheme - university didn't care about us while we were away (My PERSONAL tutor didn't even know I hadn't been at university for the last year!). Having said that, they were great when I needed an operation whilst abroad, Swansea insurance covered everything and were very helpful.

I love Tooters on a Friday night, everybody does! But having been to other more modern unions, it's very small and unexciting, you would hardly go and meet up with your mates there.

Most underrated city in the UK for a night out, phenomenal. City's got everything you need, not too big, very studenty feel.

Football Club was the best decision I ever made.

Had some really good lecturers (although most of whom have left since I've been here). Badly let down by the School of Management on numerous occasions in my final year however, which has tarnished my opinion of my studying time. Issues ranging from waiting 2 months for feedback on work, to writing essay plans for one title, only to find out the lecturer had since changed the title, and marking all essay plans using the title nobody used, and refusing to remark it/continued to make us write the new essay in 2 weeks! (I will never understand this!)

Student village 1st year was a blast! Student housing area in Brynmill/Uplands could not be better located, smack bang in between Uni and the City Centre

The main reason I applied to Swansea University originally was because my predicted grades were BCC and it seemed like a safe option. But after I looked into my course and the university itself, by going on a few open days, I decided I wanted to come to Swansea University and only Swansea University. Even after results day when I surprised myself and got ABB my mind didn't change. I'm so glad it didn't.

Very big library with quiet spaces, computer spaces and general work spaces.

Great on campus events. Quality bar where you can play pool with friends while watching the football between games and it's cheap. Excellent nightclub too. And all are right on my doorstep.

Cheap. All in one place. Great atmosphere. Overall, a great night out.

So many different sports and societies to choose from.

On my course there is a sandwich year placement option which can be a very useful tool to work yourself into a career.
