Southend is like my second home now, the city is quite slow with beautiful scenery

My course is offline which include lecture and seminars for each module, lecture helps us to learn and understand the module whereas in seminars we apply what we studied in lectures

The overall facilities provided are great, I just feel the student accommodation off campus is cheaper than on campus

At Essex, what makes it a great place to study is the exchange experience itself. Living and studying in such an international environment allows you to meet people from many cultures, build strong friendships, and grow both academically and personally. The course content is interesting and relevant, and the campus atmosphere makes it easy to feel part of a community.

The lectures are generally clear and engaging, and I value having in-person sessions where you can interact directly with lecturers and classmates. There is good access to academic support, and most lecturers are approachable and willing to help when needed. On the downside, class participation is sometimes quite low, which can make sessions feel less dynamic than they could be.

What I like most about the university halls is the location and overall living experience. The accommodation is very conveniently located close to everything on campus, which makes daily life much easier. It is also a very safe and quiet environment, which helps a lot when you need to focus on studying. Another big positive is the people — my flatmates and other students in the halls are very friendly, which makes it easy to feel comfortable and part of the community.
