As an international student, the best part about UEA is its student wellbeing and support team. They have been warm, approachable and welcoming from the get go. A professor who I look up to as a role model identified my need to seek help from the student wellbeing team. The professors are knowledgeable and cooperative, the support system is amazing, the campus is inclusive and diverse, we have access to a wide range of engagement activities for all around development, the accommodation is nice and well maintained, places that offer part time employment exist within the campus, libraries, bars, shops, information centers, career help center, and everything that a student needs is right here. UEA is certainly an institution to experience. Overall, a great place to live and learn. On the cons side, the university is spread out in such a large area that its exhausting to walk sometimes and be on time for lectures or work. To help with this, there are bikes provided but they are not enough compared to the number of students we have that use them. If I ever decided to pursue higher studies, UEA would be my first choice.

The course hours are well defined and the modules expect students to study and research themselves besides the taught lectures and seminar hours. The university adapted well to online learning during covid times and provided ample support to students in terms of tests, modules, lectures and health concerns. The learning sessions were a blend of online and face to face lectures and it the hybrid learning environment was made proper use of by the professors and students.

The university's infrastructure does not look like a typical university which makes the experience far more lively and relaxing to mind. All the areas in the city are well connected to the university by buses that are available every 5-7 minutes. A bus stop is within the university premises which makes travel easy. A suggested improvement is to shift the University Village accommodation closer to the main campus as it usually becomes inconvenient for students to manage travel time to reach the lecture theatres and study halls.

As a resident of Lower Village, I have little to complain about but these are points worth noticing. The prices are a little high for students to manage, nearly £150 a week is not something that most of us can bear. This can be looked into by the management. The location of the hall is kind of far from the main campus. Maintenance of rooms on campus can be made better and the option to change rooms or leave the university accommodation should be made available to students if they do not feel they can bear the cost or fit in. While the network connectivity and security is good, it's not that great a value for time and money.
