I love Queen’s. I feel so proud and privileged to study at a Russell Group University and I fall in love with Queen’s buildings every time I walk past them. Queen’s support for students is outstanding from everything to free sanitary products for females to interview prep, help with finding books and journals in the library and an IT team to fix any computer problems, there is support for everything! The facilities are good, the McClay is an excellent library and Queen’s buildings are never cold which is just so appreciated by students. However if you are in the library and you wanted something from the shop, it’s a good 5 minute walk to the students union or down botanic and I think a shop on the main campus would be really useful. A carpark would also be so appreciated by many students, it’s very difficult to travel to uni by car due to the lack of parking.

I love my course, I find the modules really interesting and most of my lecturers are really helpful and excellent at their job. I think that perhaps to be part of the ‘management school’, we are never at Riddel hall and our lectures can be really spread out through queens buildings. Most years my lecture and tutorial times have been 100% but in my final year, myself and many others in my year has been disappointed by the treatment we have received. Our timetable was changed numerous times, even after we had started meaning we had to readjust our work rotas etc. The location of our classes has been changed and some were put online because Queen’s claimed they had no room for our class at the time of our class, after spending 1.5 years studying during Covid, I believe this was quite unfair. Furthermore in our final semester of Uni, all our lectures were put to 4-6pm. This is quite unfair especially for students such as myself who concentrate better in the morning and have to drive 1 hour to uni every day, making it even longer during rush hours.
