It’s such a great place to study since it’s in a great location, including media city and Manchester City centre. To improve, some lecturers could be more supportive and help when students ask for help during assignments and not told to just “look online”.

IT is fabulous being able to study in Media City, I love using all the equipment and having a chance to meet well trained individuals from the industry. My lecturers are all lovely and they've really helped me these past few months, being someone who has only ever studied theoretical media rather than practical. However, sometimes the Salford location can feel quite unsafe, like coming back from a lecture when it's dark on the bus can be quite intimidating. Furthermore, the stress of looking for houses, I feel we've not had that much support and guidance despite it being rumoured students should have a house guaranteed before Christmas.

The best aspects is the facilities and equipment we get to use as the university trains us to use things that professionals in the industry use. It really has given me confidence for future work roles and I know that it won't be too different to what I have been learning now. However, I wish there were more opportunities to go into Media City and take part in volunteering roles as I think it would be beneficial early on.

I love how modern the place is and although the area can be viewed as quite dangerous, the halls feel safe and protected. However, the wifi hasn't consistently been great and I don't think it's worth charging student an extra £20 a week for a small amount of space in a 'silver' room.
