Really friendly, knowledgeable staff throughout every area of the University. All staff are approachable and will go out of their way to help and support students and signpost to services. The fabric of many of the older buildings are a bit shabby and show their age, but they sit alongside thoroughly modern facilities. It is a small campus in Canterbury, so finding places is a breeze and you are never too far from where you need to be. Registration was a farce, much patience is required, as is diligence when trying to get yourself registered. After registration, it was a struggle to get subjects registered on the online VLE. It took six weeks before I was able to view my subjects and VLE, they are still not all on there, 8 weeks in! The Student Union is very active, but if you're not sporty they aren't really interested in you at all, and don't want to share funding. All in, it is a great place to study and the systems for learning (once they work) are easy to use and make bringing your studies home a breeze.

Classroom teaching is great, the lecturers can't do enough to ensure you understand and can get on with your studies. It is let down by the fact that it took the first six weeks of study to even be able to look at the Virtual Learning Environment, which is where ALL course materials, tests, coursework etc is to be found. It was extremely frustrating having to ask each lecturer to e-mail slides, handouts and course content before and after each teaching session! Even now, 8 weeks in, the system still doesn't work properly and modules are missing. Other facilities are excellent: great Labs, interactive classrooms etc. It is only let down by the failure of admin teams to correctly register students onto the VLE in anything like a timely manner.
