Uni location is great with many establishments, shops and restaurants nearby. The new Mecd building is also the perfect place for groups or solo study sessions, with plenty of access to plugs, wifi and cafes. However, PCs in the libraries and the learning commons definitely need an update with how long they take to log in. Booking study rooms is also quite difficult if you want to use the main library.

You get plenty of choices for which units you want to study in biomed. The units offered cover a wide range of topics, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy. The biomed programme also offers flexibility in the first yr that allows you to switch between most degree programmes in the school (except specialist subjects such as biochem). Deadlines can sometimes prove a problem, especially with multiple assessments in tutorial units per semester. This, however, can be easily managed by contacting your tutor and unit coordinators to ask for extended deadlines and help.
