My best experience at Lancaster has been making memories with my flatmates. I love how each of them do different courses so we’ve got a lot a variation. I’ve also loved getting involved with the squash team as I’ve had the opportunity to explore other universities which has been an eye opening experience! This wouldn’t be possible without the student union which is brilliant. The worst aspects has involved 121 meetings with tutors as I haven’t had the opportunity this term to meet with my tutor on my own. I was introduced to them in freshers week but besides that we have not been able to catch up due to difficulties of finding a time. It would have been nice for my tutor to make more of an effort as I did follow up the rearrangement of my appointment and they said they’d sort it but didn’t and instead offered a zoom meeting in the Xmas holidays which I was unable to attend at such short notice

I love the layout of my course as every 5 weeks we have end of module tests which works well for me to consolidate what I learnt in lectures and work on my revision in small chunks. There’s a mixture of labs, lectures and workshops which makes the theoretical information more memorable!

What I love most is how I share all the facilities with my flatmates so we’re all really close to one another rather than isolated in our individual rooms all the time. What I like least is how the front door to our building doesn’t always lock so anyone could try and break in
