The lecture rooms are great especially in the Jubilee building and the student centre- very updated and modern. The library is also very big and is a lovely place to work with lots of places to sit, but a little improvement that could be made is possible some more charging ports around the library and student centre as when busy it is hard to find somewhere with a charging port. However some buildings are becoming more outdated, especially buildings such as the John Maynard Smith building, where a lot of my labs are held. They seem to have leaks and issues there every now and then and the lighting is fairly dim it is not the nicest place to work in. Improvements to some of the older buildings - even just brighter lights and a coat of paint would really increase the enjoyability of learning in these areas.

Some lecturers are really great with clear and concise power points but some lecturers have power points with hardly any information on them, and the speech they give along side it is not enough to fully comprehend the content. Especially if you have missed a lecture and the lecturer is covering the mic the entire time! There is a lot of support outside of lectures, with lecturers adding in Q&A sessions etc. which really help, however I think maybe lecture slides for a lot of the content could be improved, especially including more words on the powerpoint to help us understand topics better

Although northfield was fairly expensive, it was definitely worth it as we all got en-suites and the rooms were a decent size with lots of storage space too. The kitchens were cleaned every week which was a very nice perk, as well as our en-suites being cleaned professionally once a month too. The beds weren't super comfy, but overall the room came well equipped - including a lamp, ethernet cables, shelves, bins, toilet brushes etc. Really enjoyable place to live in
