I love that everything you need is on campus, accomodation has affordable options and is a good way to meet people, I don’t like the fact it is far away from town and supermarkets and the store can be expensive so affordable living takes more planning.

I like the content, some modules I had to pick weren’t relevant to my interests because of the amount of modules I had to pick and the options they gave me, they are interesting and mostly cover what I expected them to. Most is in person and I have 1/2 weekdays off most weeks which is nice and needed for me to have time to do coursework. Sometimes coursework is expected and not taught which can make work take allot longer and create unexpected hurdles when completing coursework as you have to teach yourself how before being able to complete some parts.

Love it, it’s what is to be expected for the price, it is sometimes a problem when things are broken and maintenance takes a long time to fix it, we had no electricity in the kitchen multiple times for a minimum of 3 days which was disruptive as maintenance didn’t get round to fixing the problem or helping us out straight away. Other than that it’s a great way to meet people, if there are problems the flat rep can set rules but we haven’t needed that in either year of living here as we get along.

best is how close it is to london (where i’m from), and also to places relevant to my degree - coasts, reserves, reservoirs etc. but the worst part is colchester is so incredibly boring it’s depressing

course is all in person which is nice but sometimes timetables are super imbalanced so you can be extremely busy one day and nothing the next, the trips and field work are the best part of my course

Very close to academic buildings, nice area of campus with views, however main pathway goes directly past studio flats windows which are costing me so much and i can’t sleep some nights due to noise and i can’t open the blinds as people stare in
