Everything in campus is so close together it’s great as a location, the new students union building is excellent. My course is severely underfunded however and I do feel like I am achieving a biology degree rather than a Marine Biology degree.

I’ve don’t very limited marine modules, only 2 that have been strictly marine. It feels as though we are forgotten about because it’s a small course.

Great way to meet people!

Project supervisors in Biological Sciences are really supportive and there is a great careers team in this school. Something that the university could do to improve student life is to organise more social activities for students to get to know their course mates better.

Since COVID my school provides online lecture content alongside in person lectures. Having both online and in person lectures is helpful. Lecture’s are generally good at responding to emails and good at answering questions. My course can be quite intense in terms of work load, but I found that my lecturers , tutor and supervisor have been very supportive and encouraging.

Elms BT2 is in a great location, it is close to the Europa Bus Station, is a 2 minute walk to a bus stop that goes to Queen’s and it is also close to the city centre. It is modern and has good kitchen/ dining/ living space for every flat. However, Elms BT9 is better for 1st year social life.
