The city is amazing, the people are so friendly. It has a real student feel to the city and the university teaching quality is good. There is lots of support from the university if you’re struggling with something and the facilities are very good.

Biology sometimes feels a bit forgotten about. There is a lot of focus on other degrees with their own buildings. I enjoy lecture content and the lecturers are very good teachers. There is a lot of individual learning (more than you’d expect) but it is rewarding.

It was really nice, I think the best the uni has to offer. The kitchens and rooms are new and refurbished. The location is amazing and the closest to the uni and town. I never felt unsafe walking in the dark or alone.

Studying at Newcastle University feels like stepping into a novel. When the weather is nice, walking through the old campus provides such a beautiful backdrop to academic life. The staff is committed, well-educated, and always willing to listen and help students progress. The support teams do a particularly wonderful job of meeting disability needs and assisting with issues such as visas. The student union has a wide range of clubs and societies, and while community activities could be improved, they do a wonderful job with making sure theres a space for everyone.

I love the amount of practical work that is involved in my course. I personally have trouble sitting still during lectures, but there is an abundance of online materials that are well organized and very detailed. The tutors are wonderful, and clearly care very much about the support and progress of their students. Wellbeing is clearly taken into consideration when it comes to planning out the course structure for students.
