Great location and good support through COVID

Difficult to build relationships with tutor because of COVID, lectures presented live and recorded meant it's easy to catch up and review

It was more expensive than private halls, and in worse condition, but my experience was skewed by COVID (2020-21). The leak in my ceiling took about a week for them to come and repair.

Cardiff is a great city, and the academics on my course are really enthusiastic! The support system both in the uni and the SU really works and there's lot of new/refurbished facilities around. The worst parts has deffo been linked to COVID and striking

Neuroscience is so interesting and I love the content, my lecturers are enthusiastic and the facilities available are crazy! The striking in my 2nd year really messed up my knowledge of some essential topics though

Honestly I picked the best halls in Cardiff: Aberconwy is extremely close to main campus, I had a huge room on the top floor in a nice quiet flat that I'd requested and from my bedroom door to my 9am lectures in the next-door building it took 1min 47seconds! Small so less people and noise but there was always pre-drinks every night somewhere.
