My lectures are all very passionate about their subjects and clearly enjoy teaching it to others. The workshops each week are very helpful as they give us example exam questions and then show us how to solve them.

Lots of places on campus to meet up with friends for study or just hanging out, and a lot of different clubs and societies available for meeting new people. The campus is a little out of the way from the city but has great bus links and is right next to Falmer train station, so travel to and from university is pretty easy, just a little long depending on where you live after 1st year. Facilities on the whole are pretty modern, and most of the older buildings are gradually being renovated and modernized. There are quite a few different support services available to students for any struggles or worries.

Overall the course is well taught by the vast majority of the lecturers, however as with any course there are a couple exceptions who do make their module unnecessarily difficult. Most of the lecturers I've had have been really friendly and all of them have dedicated office hours where you can seek help or advice outside of lectures and workshops. Lots of contact hours every week for labs, workshops, and lectures. Whilst the university is moving back toward solely in-person learning, lectures are all recorded and posted online so you can re-watch whenever. Every pupil has an assigned academic adviser who you have weekly meetings with in first year (and just whenever you need after that) who you can bring up any concerns with and they'll try to help or direct you to someone who can.

Pretty much all of East Slope has been rebuilt over the last 3/4 years so it's all very modern, however because of that it is the most expensive halls accommodation on campus, but is worth it in my opinion. Room allocation is just done randomly except if you have special requirements that need catering for, so if you are given a room in East Slope it could be any of the halls there. In camber the rooms are very modern and even though you are living with 11 people, you only share a bathroom with 1 or 2 other people and the living and kitchen area takes up a whole floor of each townhouse and is very spacious. Security is very good, there is a dedicated phone number on campus, East Slope has a 24 hour support desk in the main reception, and in order to get into your building, your floor, and your room you need a keycard specifically for you so only you have access. Internet is pretty good, it's the same for all of campus, there are ethernet ports in all the bedrooms in Camber, however the wifi can sometimes be a bit of pain, either disconnecting or needing you to sign back in, that sort of thing.
