If I'm honest, my first year wasn't the most productive, I went to probably half of my lectures, which was about average for people in my halls i'd say (because of the distance of my halls from uni and one or two too many shandy's on a night out).

I am an international student from a cosmopolitan city and I always asumd london was the only city I could ever have fun in. However, leeds has turned out to be a modern city with a vibrant lifestyle.university for me was mainly about acquiring a degree ratherthan skills for employability. but so far i seem to have acquired more employability skills than knowledge. At the uiversity I participate in various activities that expoe me to life after uni. i have been made to understand that leeds uni is one of the few universities in the uk that has such programs. at the moment, i host a radio show and it was nominated for an award. in all my experince so farhas been amazing. i will advice anyone considering leeds uni to give a try. it is definitely worth it.
