University is great, first taste of real independence and a chance to join other like-minded people in societies, or create your own. Living with other people can be challenging, everyone has different backgrounds and standards of living. Just got to find your people and make sure you get looking at private accommodation for years 2 and 3 asap as housing goes quickly!

Things are pretty easy to attain, study space becoming more available, but food on campus is expensive

Support could be improved, from personal tutors the support is genuine, but can be difficult to attain support furthermore. The mitigation services are respectful but require more info than you might expect

Lots of diverse societies, something for everyone, good for building a more well rounded profile for employers

City life is much quieter than bigger cities, like Bristol or London, but Exeter is much smaller than that. Make the most of what you’ve got.. despite small in size does have everything and more than you need. Also easy to get public transport if want to venture out of the city

Clubs are pretty casual, keep an eye out for themed nights. Things open and close early in Exeter, expect the club to close around 1:30-2am

The most - lectures preceding small seminar discussions meaning time to digest information before going over finer details in groups. The least - some lectures aren’t as focussed to the topic as would expect. Marking and grading papers tends to vary from tutor to tutor
