It's a great location, being by the sea. City living is nice and there's always places to go or things to do. The staff are really friendly and easy to get on with. The courses in general are chilled most of the time and there's a ton of help if you get behind, you just have to be strong enough to ask for it. Sometimes the student union can be forgotten about and unless the clubs and activities that are offered interest you, you probably won't ever interact with it. There's a ton of choice, and at the end of the day, Portsmouth can be tailored to what suits you and your interests.

In person teaching with blended support when necessary is pretty handy. Any art course needs to be in person really, and having that ability to be around other creative students is fantastic when you can get it. The studio space we have is really good, and the lecturers are often in the studio engaging with students and work being produced. There are a bunch of available tools and software at our disposal if we want to engage with them. There's tons of material for us to access in terms of creative processes. The career prospects are good and the lecturers and tutors support us quite well in that regard as to shaping us for the careers we want. There are tons of placement options throughout the years which are fantastic opportunities, but hardly anyone has taken part in them due to the amount of hoops involved when applying. It's not for everyone, but the opportunities are available to all. It's a good course that pushes you to think differently and constantly switch up your approach in order to evolve your practise.
