The Illustration and sci-fi society are brilliant, exactly what I joined societies for. There's a society for everyone, so don't think they're stupid before you even find out what they're about. They've helped me become more confident in myself at meeting new people and making friends who I wouldn't necessarily meet on a normal day. Sign up for them on the society fayre during freshers, but you don't have to go to every one you sign up for, choose your favourites and stick to them!

The nightlife on offer is great, but the course is fabulous, it's everything you want from a course and the different tutors and guest speakers are inspiring and full of knowledge. Hayes Wharf is a great investment, it's so close to everything, you only have to walk 5 minutes to get to uni, but you don't have to worry about being far from the centre of town because everything's round the corner and the the bills are all inclusive, but don't lose your key because it costs a tonne to get them replaced. Manage your finances and you can afford it and enough to go out and have a good time, and afford everything you'll need
