It is a great place to get to know new people and get new experiences. A lot of events are taken on campus and many more that are outside in the city are easy to get to know. Library being open almost 24/7 is super useful for the days off your lectures when you need to find a Mindspace to get the work done. A lot of support is coming from everywhere - course tutors, personal emails, staff and students on campus and the UWE Website as well as SU Website. It is a bit inconvenient in its location as for me, but would probably not be such a big issue for people who live in the centre of Bristol, as there are many buses that to my campus from there.

It splits the whole course into two separate groups that have lessons split between each other during the week. The attendance for both groups is required on Monday, and then they have separate lessons either on Tuesdays and Wednesdays or on Thursdays and Fridays. In case you ever miss any important lesson, it can be solved and either retaken or sorted out with your tutors on a personal level. If ever any help needed, it is always in one email away. There is plenty of free time between the in-class days, which is great for having the time to do other things during the course, but can be a little bit too much at the beginning if you struggle to make yourself useful.

It’s nice that it provides a very supporting and welcoming environment for artist from all around the world to get to create art together. The community is very friendly and the resources available are abundant. The students here usually have very diverse backgrounds and experiences so getting to meet them here is very nice and eye opening. I like how people are usually very open minded and kind.

The course was generally very nicely designed, with nice and well informed lecturer, we were also given a lot of creative freedom to do what we want and never will someone criticise our art for the sake of it. Constructive advice were always given and a lot of support work for and when you want to make a work in a certain way. If you have a question, they are always very glad to answer. The facilities were always Open and available for us to use when we book, and we would not feel unwelcomed by any department, Instead, the lecturer encouraged us to explore different fields, even if we are only studying illustration. Encouraged us to explore different things, instead of telling us to stay in our lane. With that being said, sometimes there could be Too much free time, if you are not planning to use any facilities in the campus. However, I do believe that it varies for everyone because different people have different commitments so I do not think that is a bad thing. It’s just that maybe you have to expect a lot of time doing self learning instead of having someone that teaches you all day long.

I really like the accommodation for this location because I always need to go around Bower Ashton and Frenchay campus , being at the heart of the centre really helps to reduce my commuting time and it’s very very convenient. However, I could tell that the facilities here are not as new as those in Frenchay campus, and that the building still older than usual student village or student accommodations. It’s not particularly a big problem, because most of the items are still functionable and nice, But this is just the thing to keep in mind. Sometimes the heater or the oven doesn’t work and cost a little bit of inconvenience. Triggering of alarms also happens quite frequently, so there are a few nights where You would be hearing false alarms. The room itself Has absolutely no problem in general, nothing major and is generally really nice to live in. The walls between accommodation could be a little bit thicker.
