Raleigh Park has bad facilities

I can't be more thrilled with the way things have started at UoN: from the teaching to the accommodation, everything has been great. There seems to be a real community ethos and everyone is happy and proud to help their University out. The facilities and resources are terrific - the libraries are spacious, bright and almost constantly open; the halls are well equipped and the entire campus (which is gorgeous and spacious) is connected through a solid WiFi system. The SU are active in putting right any wrongs and it's a general great place to be a student and to get involved with something new.

Active, working for us and not afraid to stand up for social injustice and defend the reputation of the Uni when it is under threat. Top people.

I had my doubts about Nottingham, but it's proven to be a gem - London nightlife without London prices, a sporting hub that should be the envy of the entire country, pubs as old as the castle and a castle as interesting as the pubs. The river is great, there are plenty of shops and I've never seen more public transport in a city.

Handball 'til I die. (No, but honestly - there are loads of options available.)

Organised, well timetabled and generally interesting.

Superb Connections with businesses including GSK and Boots, and a Careers office which doesn't just pass off first years, but instead focuses on helping them build an employable, marketable profile from Day One.

Some on-campus accommodation is a little 'dated' - but the location more than makes up for it. The food is good and varied, and the meal card is a good system. Self-catered accommodation looks modern and very nice, too. Good focus on social spaces.
