It's a nice uni with lots of places to study, seems like there is always something going on.

All of the actual plant science and plant specific content you can get from a different course that seems significantly better run, 'sustainable agriculture and food production'. The modules are the wrong way round in the semesters leaving you feeling behind in semester one then confused in semester two as to why you're going back over things. There is a weird refusal to teach in some modules, and marks are consistently returned late. Overall, if you are considering doing this course i would recommend checking when the modules are being taught - if advanced bio-molecular technologies is in semester 1 you will have a much better time than if it is in semester 2. If you want to do this course to be taught about plant science you are better off doing a less specific degree for less money and focusing your individual study on plants rather than being disappointed in this course. There are lots of assessments throughout the terms so you need to be sure of this degree and your commitment to it as there isn't time for loss of motivation.
