I'm really involved at uni. I am a hall president and I also run my own club night in town. I love Nottingham and I really recommend it to everyone. Make sure you make the most of your time at uni and just get involved and enjoy it all. I definitely recommend Nottingham uni!

The campus has a vibrant and friendly feel. The facilities including the David Ross sports centre, Jubilee campus, lecture theatres and libraries are incredible and really inspire learning. The campus grounds are beautiful and natural. The university is in a perfect position to the town and student living areas. The university of nottingham could be improved by refurbishing the student union. It is good for food and the building is beautiful however the nightlife at the student union is poor. Also the 1st year halls accommodation is very outdated and small. I stayed in broadgate park which really needs updating and the difference between flats that you pay the same price for is vast.

My lecturers are all very informative and design their lectures in the best way to facilitate our learning. The modules available on my course are interesting and the content is engaging, which makes me enjoy going to my lectures. We have had varied online/in person lectures, with my first year being 100% online which was not effective for learning and my grades suffered because of this. This year we have had a mixed approach with our lectures being in person but pre-recorded material is available online. This is effective if you miss a lecture or need to revise something. I do not have many contact hours with my tutor and all of my meetings with him are via teams which means I can’t access all the help I need. Lecturers are always willing to help students and have an open door policy which is friendly and effective.

Amazing nightlife, a wide range of clubs for all different types of people and has all different types of music. Lots of cool restaurants and independent bars. Very good public transport because of the tram that goes from city to the train station to the university.

The location is amazing as it is across the road from campus. The scenery is nice as it is very green and spacious. The staff are quite rude and when you need help they are not helpful. However some of the security guards were really nice and understood how hard it was for us during the pandemic. Other members of staff were extremely unsympathetic and fined many student when they shouldn’t have been.
