It has been fantastic! I love the variety of opportunities offered by the university meaning I can learn or get involved with many different things that I have never done before. Newcastle is a beautiful place to live and has a friendly feeling. I always feel supported by the university both on the course and outside of it. My course is challenging but fun and I feel I am learning a lot from it and will be set up for a future career.

Brilliant! The library is open 24/7 as well as the digital commons room which is full of computers for student use. The teaching and lecture rooms are equipped with up to date technology.

The course tutors are readily available to talk to and help with both aspects of the course and things outside of it. The university offer many different ways to help students including a drop-in help desk in the library, online and in person mental health services, and fantastic disability support for individual arrangements.

Great facilities for students and the staff are super helpful. There are lots of events and opportunities for students to volunteer.

City campus is brilliantly located and only a couple of minutes walk from the city centre.

Really great variety with some sports and societies that you will have trouble finding at other universities.

Animation is an extremely creative course and it's set up to allow for that creativity to flow whilst also learning a lot of software based essentials. I like that, although sometimes it is software heavy and driven, you can still use your ideas to come up with something that is your own and is different from anyone else's work. The lecturers are so supportive with both the technical and creative sides of the course as well as aspects outside of the course like student welfare.

There are loads of opportunities from the careers department to talk about future job planning and employability. The library offer loads of workshops offering learning on a wide range of skills. Placements are readily available and encouraged on most courses and there's lots of support on offer to get them set up and once you have started.

I’ve loved it! It’s been so fun and even the hard parts I’ve had friends and tutors to get me through it... I wouldn’t go anywhere else or have made any different choices along the way
