Tell us about your overall university experience so far.

I’ve been at Hartpury university for 3 years now and have enjoyed everyone. Due to some struggles I faced in past year, I worked with lecturers and other Hartpury support staff to make decisions that worked for me! One of those being a course change, something that I found the idea of completely terrifying but I cannot fault my new lecturers enough, my tutor is fantastic and incredibly supportive. I’m so excited for this new journey over the next 3 years

The course is spread through the week with lots of gaps between lectures that can be a bit annoying but we do get plenty of time to study by ourselves, all of our lecturers are available as and when we need them over email and will often happily arrange 1:1s

Showers were horrendous, wifi was even worse! But if anything broke you know they’d be quick to fix it and security did a great job and keeping the blocks in order

I have enjoyed my experience so far at hartpury and I'm looking forward to my 3 years in the future! For any future students looking at universities, hartpury is a great place to come and have a look at.

Facilities

How good are your university's facilities?

Very very good facilities!

Student support

How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).

Both academic and personal support is high at hartpury and these are areas they have recognised are important.

Students' union

What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?

The student union is good and there are many clubs and societies. Also they plan many other events throughout the year.

Local life

Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?

The city life is okay however not much going on for young people.

How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?

Good, there is a variety for different hobbies and interests.

What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?

I like most that we get both lectures and practical sessions which allows us to develop new skills. I least like that lectures can run as late as 7pm on an evening.

Career prospects

How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?

Hartpury strongly recommends doing volunteering and work experience alongside our studies to give us all the skills nessesary for the world of work. There is a careers department dedicated to helping students find volunteering and work experience placements, also the ASC centre offers sessions which teach transferable skills.

What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?

The accommodation at hartpury is very good, it's clean and bright and is out of the main section of campus at hartpury so is quiet and relaxed :)
