I and thoroughly enjoying university life so far. I have met a lot of great people who are now some of my closest friends, as well as my partner. I can sometimes find the workload extremely stressful, however my personal tutor, lecturers, and student administration office have been extremely helpful when dealing with any issues I am having.

The work experience module on my course has given me a lot of useful skills to increase my employability. This has encouraged me to go to talks and meetings with the careers service which I would otherwise not have gone to. The careers service is also very helpful and attentive to your needs

A lot of the lecturers use case studies and interesting examples in their lectures to make them more engaging and interesting. Many lecturers are also very helpful with any questions I have and with coursework feedback. My personal tutor has also been extremely helpful with any personal problems I have encountered throughout my course so far.

The student union is a nice place to socialise. However, they have appeared quite disorganised when putting on events which I have taken part in with my sports club. I very rarely attend events put on by the union (such as parties or festivals) as I am not a big drinker.

Our house is very spacious and in a good location for shopping and going out. However, the desk space isn't as good as in halls, and the house is in quite a noisy location.

The library and computer rooms are very useful, up to date and well equipped for completing coursework. I think there could be more facilities available for animal science (and associated) courses.

The town and sea front are very enjoyable to visit. There is mostly a nice atmosphere when in pubs and clubs.

The clubs I have interacted with seem very friendly. I am part of the Showdance club which is very enjoyable and gives me some much needed time away from coursework. However, there is sometimes an uncomfortable atmosphere when attending sessions or socials as a lot of the club is broken up into friendship groups. They can also be very strict when it comes to attendance of sessions, deeming that having a lot of coursework that needs completing is not a valid excuse for missing a session. This can sometimes put extra stress on students on top of the stress from their courses.

My tutor is extremely supportive with both academic and personal problems. Coursework feedback is detailed and constructive from most lecturers. Mental health services seem extremely important to the university. However, it was unclear to me how to get access to mental health services from the uni. I have also heard from friends that there is a 2 year waiting list for the mental health service that the uni provides.

I think it brings a lot of business to the local area in regards to the number of students living in the town. A number of my lecturers also conduct research which can contribute to other extremely important global factors, such as climate change.

Amazing, I've made loads of friends, the lectures are really fun, the societies are fun. I love the town of Aber very excited to start my second year to get more involved
