Swansea seem to care about their students and about helping them to succeed. At some red brick universities I get the impression that you are just a number, but at Swansea offers a personal experience where every student seems to matter. I don't love Swansea town centre but the campus is so lovely and you never really need to go into the town anyway. There is a beach opposite campus and a park behind the University. With a lot of changes and the new Bay Campus opening in 2015 it's quite an exciting time to be at Swansea. Most important of all, my course is excellent. I'm really glad I chose to be here.

Plenty of computer rooms but it'd be nice if the library was a bit more modern and that there were quiet areas which are actually kept quiet!

They have a advice centre and a wellbeing centre on campus if you have any problems at all as a student. Personal tutors are very supportive and understanding and there is good support for people with disabilities.

Bit of a lad culture and much too focused on alcohol (probably like every other Students' Union in the UK unfortunately). Most students aren't that engaged in student politics but there are plenty of chances to get involved if that's your thing. Staff are friendly and it's great to have everything on campus. They could do much more to tackle sexual harassment however. It's true that this is a problem at every university but some Students' Unions are starting to tackle this problem whereas Swansea seems to be completely ignoring the issue, which is just unacceptable.

Excellent selection of clubs and societies! Swansea is also a really great place for sports. The clubs and societies at Swansea excellent and very welcoming. If you don't drink, then don't worry because the societies are very inclusive and if you don't necessarily like going out to clubs you will find societies cater to that. All the societies that I have come across are also really LGBT+ friendly and are inclusive of all races and cultures. I've also noticed that people here are really supportive of individuals suffering from depression, anxiety or other problems. If you don't think you will fit in with student drinking culture you will definitely find likeminded people in the university's societies (though I can't speak for the sports clubs).

Everyone seems to be happy with the quality of teaching here. Lecturers seem like they want to be here. Attendance is good, which says a lot. I've been really impressed compared to what I've heard from friends at other universities. I hope the quality of the teaching continues.

Great careers and employability service. If you take advantage of it you'll have a much greater chance of getting a good job after uni. If reputation matters to you, Swansea has an increasingly good one. They also offer really great study abroad opportunities.

Great that there's accommodation on campus - means you are really close to lectures, to the Students' Union and to the gym which is next to the campus. There's also plenty to choose from in the local area. The new Bay Campus accommodation looks like it will be nice for Engineering Students.

I think this university is amazing, it's full of new opportunities and great people. It has a great vibe that continues day and night on campus and off. The night life is amazing any day of the week and events keep popping up so if you miss one night there will be another one right around the corner. The lecturers are great and easy to contact at all times.
