Love the large contact hours and variety of options. Need an actual lecture space rather than Elizabeth Swan with no tables

Chichester is an extremely welcoming place, the uni is run by a fantastic team that work well with the student union. The students are looked after and cared while they embark on their education. Though the city is small it has a multitude of opportunities for young adults to engage with such as sight seeing around the old city, visiting the many independent shops the city has or even the magnificently crafted cathedral. Though, nothing to rave about, the night life has just enough impact for students to still engage in classic student life activities. Though, these amazing things do come with their negatives. I find that a lot of students discuss the issues with their courses, in particular the discussion of how the amount they pay does not equate to the standard of teaching or the contact hours. This compared to many other universities or conservatoires is small in comparison and students don’t believe they are receiving the amount of training that they signed up for in the first place. If these hours were looked over, many courses would drastically be improved. Another issue, which is more all over the country is the notion that student nurses do not get paid for their time on placement. Though it is a training regime, nurses in training are bending their back over in an attempt to try do what fully fledged nurses would. They could even put their own life on the line and they do this unpaid?

My teachers are amazing and they are always there ready to teach us something new and valuable. I just feel that I don’t get enough time with these teachers due to contact hours. The course is taught through a series of lessons, we have various acting lessons, two spotlights (one of which changes each semester) and a sit down lecture.

I enjoyed halls because it gave me the opportunity to socialise which helped me in my future endeavour and I really felt that I lived the student experience. Though, despite this, the facilities were not up to scratch as there was various infestations of silver fish and broken appliances
